From Ocean Depths to City Streets: The New PONTOS S DIVER 2024

From Deep Sea to City Streets, the PONTOS S DIVER 2024 Makes a Splash

Maurice Lacroix, a brand renowned for its urban-inspired timepieces, has unveiled a new take on the diver’s watch with the PONTOS S DIVER 2024. While the 2013 PONTOS S DIVER was built for serious underwater exploration, the 2024 edition reimagines the genre for the modern city dweller.

The original PONTOS S DIVER, launched in 2013, boasted specifications suited for professional divers. Recognizing that most wearers wouldn’t reach those depths, Maurice Lacroix shifted focus in 2016 with the wildly successful AIKON, a watch designed for the urban jungle. However, customer demand for a diver’s watch persisted, leading to the return of the PONTOS S DIVER in 2023 with a more wearable size and contemporary upgrades.

For 2024, Maurice Lacroix takes a bold step forward with the PONTOS S DIVER, offering two distinct models optimized for city life. Both variants boast water resistance to 30 ATM, ensuring they can handle a splash, but their true strength lies in their stylish design. Whether basking in the summer sun or navigating under city lights, these watches are ready for anything the urban environment throws their way.

The first variant, a limited edition of 888 pieces, features a striking 42mm bronze case paired with a black dial. The hands and indexes, bathed in golden hues and treated with Super-LumiNova® for nighttime visibility, create a unique contrast against the dark backdrop. The warm tones of the bronze case are surprisingly cool in their overall effect, further accentuated by the vintage brown leather strap and matching bronze pin buckle. This limited-edition PONTOS S DIVER 2024 is sure to be a conversation starter on any city street.

The second edition caters to those who crave a touch of mystery. This model features a stealthy 42mm black DLC stainless steel case that perfectly complements the contrasting black, white, and yellow color scheme on the dial. The vibrant white and yellow accents pop against the black background, ensuring excellent readability. Just like the limited edition, this watch utilizes Super-LumiNova® for nighttime adventures, making it ideal for transitioning from the office to the nightclub. The black rubber strap and sandblasted black DLC pin buckle seamlessly match the case, completing the watch’s sleek, urban aesthetic.

Both models feature an additional crown at the 2 o’clock position that operates the internal rotating bezel. Traditionally used to measure elapsed time underwater, this bezel can also be repurposed as a practical tool for everyday tasks. The automatic ML115 caliber keeps the watch running smoothly, eliminating the need for manual winding, while the Maurice Lacroix Easy Strap Exchange System allows for effortless customization without any tools required.

The PONTOS S DIVER 2024 represents a bold reimagining of the diver’s watch, offering a stylish and functional timepiece for the modern city dweller.
